Weighted rigs are probably the best choices for catching striped bass with live bait. If you thread a two ounce slip sinker onto your line and use a glass bead to hold it into place, use a heavy ball bearing type swivel, a leader about three feet long using 40 pound test fluorocarbon line, and a good, heavy live bait hook, and follow our common sense guides for successful striper fishing, you should catch your limit!
