Bass in the Florida Everglades reach up to ten pounds in weight, and more big bass are caught in the Everglades each year than anywhere else.  Even novice anglers who simply toss a hook into the water are likely to pull it up with something on the end.  Individual catches of twenty to thirty or more bass in a single day's time are not uncommon when fishing with knowledgeable guides in the Everglades of Florida.
