Use The Chatreuse To Great Effect

Category: Uncategorized

I’ve been told that Bass love chartreuse baits – is there any particular reason why?

Bass do love chartreuse baits, so whoever told you that must have used the technique themselves. Chartreuse bait can actually be used to great effect if you know how and why, and use it accordingly.

Any tournament bass fishing enthusiast is always looking for a new advantage that can help them to catch more bass. However, there is only one real way to improve your catch ratio beyond measure and that is to replicate the normal conditions in which bass would hunt their very own prey.

Anyone that is knowledgeable about bass of any kid would know that their main source of food is actually the bream that live in the same waters that they do. Bass absolutely love bream and swarm around them like fish possessed if given the chance. It is this natural phenomenon that the chartreuse bass is based around.

Dipping your worm into chartreuse dye gives it a reddy hue that is similar to the colour of the bream tail when it catches the ligt. Using the chartreuse bait in clearer waters will attract bass like there is no tomorrow because the way it moves in the water when catching the sun makes it appear like a bream’s tail. Of course, this is a source of food so the bass come running.

Many fishermen and women use the chartreuse bait to great effect in tournaments and you can too, in the right conditions. In murky waters, the effect that it has is not quite as potent, but it may still work so it is definitely worth a try.
