What steps do you go through to plan a bass fishing trip?
Would it not be nice if we could just head off on a bass fishing trip at the drop of a hat and spend a wonderful few days on the lakes in… well, just about anywhere? Unfortunately, planning a bass fishing trip does not work like that. It can take a few days, if not weeks, to plan out. Depending on where you are planning to go bass fishing, you may need different equipment. As no two bodies of water are the same. You should first check that you have all of the lines, rods and lures you need to enjoy your day on the lake or river. This is a must before you book the trip because it may end up costing you more than you planned. Obviously, a little research on where you are heading can reveal what you will need. Next, you should check out any requirements. For example, fishing in the UK requires a license and some pools and private lakes require you to apply for a permit for access and then book certain days because they have a maximum capacity. If you do have to apply for a permit or a license then you should do this before booking anything because you would run the risk of being in the area and not being able to fish! After you have obtained any permts you need, you can go ahead and book accommodation and make the necessary arrangements to go on your trip! Make sure you book in plenty of time so you are assured of a fantastic bass fishing trip with no hitches or problems!
