What was the biggest bass caught in Mass?

The biggest bass on record for Massachusetts was recorded in 1975. It was caught in Sampson Pond by Walter Bolonis. This fish weighed 15 pounds and 8 ounces. There have been other reports of different fish caught but they haven’t been verified. This can be tough for someone that wants to feel that they have gotten the very best out there in the state. Yet it all comes down to what can be verified.
With that in mind, you definitely want to be sure you are well prepared. If you are out there fishing and you get a sizable bass then you should make sure you have a measuring tape and that you have a digital camera in place so that you will be able to have some verification. If you are able to beat this record, it has been around for a very long time. You will need to be able to prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt.
