What’s your #1 technique for fishing bass you turn to when all else fails?
Bass are fickle creatures. Depending on the environment, time of year, temperature, level of food and any other number of factors, the bass may not bite no matter what you do. Unfortunately, we all have days like that when out on the river or lake and they can ruin your enjoyment of fishing… at least temporarily! But what can you do when all else fails? I have a particular technique that usually works sooner or later. This does require an awfu lot of patiience but if you have tried everything else then the likelihood is that you are willing to invest that because you would have had no luck up until then anyway! Like any other technique, it is not foolproof but it does seem to have a lot more success than some of the others around. Use a buzzbait and find a choice spot. You could fish from the bank or around vegetation. This is likely to be where the bass are hiding if they do not bite when you use your usual techniques. Use the buzzbait to fish in the top water. Hold it in the sme place for fifteen minutes before lowering it about 6 inches. Repeat this process until your line is deep. It does require a lot of patience to hold it steady down there but you will usually get a bite sooner or later because the bass will be attracted to the vibration. Just remember that good things come to those who wait! Especially where a bad day fishing for bass in concerned!
