Where can I get the best news on bass fishing in my area? I want to know when they are biting and when they aren’t…

The best time to get the report and news on bass fishing in any area is every day. I am not sure what area you are in, but for the most part, the DNR, local bait shops and other anglers that fish the areas give fishing reports. You could look at some forums for your area or look in your local newspaper. The winter months might find less information, but right now, I would say, you should start seeing more information. I will be looking for some bass forums next. This might give you some other areas online to look at how the bass are running and biting. If the weather is getting nice and the water temperatures are rising, you can expect spawning to start. During and after the spawn is the time to start bass fishing. You will always have a general idea by watching the water temperatures in the lakes and rivers. You will have to know what water temperature the bass start spawning in to know when the spawn is going to occur. In the northern part of the country, this could start in the middle of May. The southern part of the country might start earlier. It all depends on the area and the water temperatures. Check with your local sporting store or where you get your fishing license for more information as well. These are good sources of information because they keep up with the news and reports on all the fish in the area.
