i will be going fishing in the middle of march at canyon lake arizona i was thinking that a good spot for large mouth bass be at the lagoon and camping area would be since i dont have a boat. what are my options on the best bass fishing on the lake since i dont have a boat. thank you for your time.

Canyon Lake in Arizona is a beautiful spot for bass fishing, and is highly underrated. With over 950 acreas of land covered by the lake an d 28 miles of shorline to make the most of, it is an excellent spot for bass fishing whether you prefer to stay on the shore or use a boat. First things first, if you do not have a boat then it is possible to rent one at a reasonable cost from Precision Marine. However, if you would prefer to keep your feet firmly on the land then there is a number of spots you can try. The lake was closed to boats up until January 2008 owing to maintenance work but has now reopened. This is great for fishing enthusiasts but not so good in certain areas because water sports do take place on the lake as well, which in turn can actually scare the largemouth bass into hiding. However, there is one spot that can prove to be especially fruitful for the bass fishing enthusiast. The Point campground is perfect for bass fishing. Secluded between two cliffs, it provides a quiet backdrop for both you and the bass so you can concentrate on what you are doing. It is free to enter the area and you could stay all day without anyone disturbing you. The largemouth bass action is extremely good here, especially in the warmer months when they are less likely to stay in the deeper waters of the lake. It is definitely worth stopping by here if you get a chance.
