4 Bass Lures – When and How to Use

4.       Crankbaits – Crankbaits are another lure that can be fishing in most any depth or any type of water conditions. They can be fished at any speed and they come in a wide variety of styles that are designed especially for attracting bass. Most of them imitate shad or minnows, two of the favorite foods for bass. Crankbaits are so popular that you can find some anglers who wouldn’t use anything else.

There is no one bass lure that will work better than any of the others every time you go fishing. You will need to switch off and use different ones for different situations because things change and the bass respond differently. It will depend on when you go fishing and where you’re fishing along with many
other factors.

The bass lures listed above come in a variety of sizes, colors and styles making it possible for you to collect an assortment of lures that will work great in different situations. This way, you will always have something that should get the attention of the bass. Collect several of each and then experiment with them until you find what works best in different situations. Then you’ll have a better idea of which lures to buy the next time you go out shopping for more fishing gear.

Now that you have a good idea of which bass lures will be the most versatile and most effective, you won’t be so overwhelmed when you see all of the different options that are available. Lures have gone through many changes throughout the years and the designs available today are more lifelike than ever. Bass lures look and feel like the real thing making it literally impossible for the bass to tell the difference between a lure and baitfish.

The main thing that you need to be aware of when you go bass fishing is your presentation. You must present the lure in a realistic way or the bass will instinctively know there is something wrong and they will not take the bait. This may take some practice but it’s worth the time and effort you’ll put into it. Once you start reeling in more bass, you’ll be glad you took the time to learn how to use the lures correctly.
