Can you tell me some new striped bass fishing techniques?

Striped bass are not as common as largemouth and smallmouth bass but catching them can be just as exciting for bass fishing enthusiasts, if not more so. Striped bas can be just as ively as largemouth bass when you catch them and they do put up an excellent fight but certain techniques will help you to catch them in the first place. Striped bass are anything but predictable but you absolutely have to take that into account when formulating your chosen strategy. They do run in schools so it is possible to track them for an hour and keep tabs on their movements before going in for the kill (figuratively speaking of course). This also increases your chances of success too. Bear in mind that they will spook easily as well so you have to be certain of your movements before you make a move. If they head to deeper water because they are scared then you stand little chance of getting a bite. Try fishing shallower waters for striped bass in cooler weather and clear waters. As such, make sure that you blend into your background well. Try trolling the top waters first AFTER you have located a school and assess the level of success you are met with. Use minnow like baits and you will find that they bite fairly quickly. if you need to change your bait then try plastic worms for vegetative areas and jigs if they have headed to deeper waters and you do not want to give up. All of the tips above will give you the start you need to improve your striper catch rate.
